Closeouts. Why does Laken refer to its Futura water bottle as the world’s finest? It could be the one-piece, fully recyclable aluminum construction or possibly the epoxi interior coating that’s unaffected by temperature, dents, acidic fluids, alcohol and even purifying tablets.

By Too Cool to Have a Nickname from Bloomington, Ind. on 11/10/2009 Pros: BPA Free, Good Capacity, Impact Resistant, Retains Temperature, Slim Design, Unique Design Best Uses: Cycling, Everyday, Gym, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Light and good capacity for what it is. It's not enough for a long hike or camp but for every day use - 750 ml is what it is. More than a bottled water, equal to a bottle of wine.
Noticed a slight metallic taste on the lip at first but the same thing happens with plastic.
I'm happy.
By Dave from Virginia on 11/05/2009 Pros: BPA Free, Good Capacity, Impact Resistant, Slick Looking Cons: Threading isn't great Best Uses: Camping, Everyday, Hiking Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Almost perfect. I would've preferred the extrude, few-turn threads as seen on the Kleen Kanteen bottles. Also, could be a little cheaper. But overall, I'm pleased.
By Baby steps from Togwotee Pass, WY on 10/07/2009 Pros: Good Capacity, Slim Design Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Loved the size. Tend to not drink alot on short day hikes, so it was nice to not lug extra water weight and still have a suitable amount of water to drink mid-hike! Plus, it just feels nice.
