Large comfortable sleeping area. By Mike from Birmingham, AL on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Set Up Best Uses: Campgrounds, Road Trips Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very sturdy cot with a large area for rolling around. Not your typical camp cot. We have one under our bed for guests and will get another so we can easily sleep more at our house when needed. Great for trips when you want to make sure you will have a bed to sleep in no matter where you go.
By mk from Syracuse, NY on 09/24/2009 Pros: Compact, Easy Set Up Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This cot might be useful with a mat on top of it for back support. I layed on it for 2 min. and had a terrible backache. It might be good for getting off the damp ground because it is quite high off the ground but it would not fit in a small tent. It is big! It would be useful for a tall person with a tough back. I sent it back because I would be crippled if I slept on it for a night.
You'd better have a BIG tent. By I'm Just Sayin'... from L.A., CA on 09/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Set Up Best Uses: Campgrounds, Road Trips, Winter Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We'll use this for car camping and for guests. Comfy enough -- for a cot, that is. It's easy to set up. Doesn't slope toward the center as much as some modern cots. Though I kinda wish it was more taut, as I suspect the fabric will stretch a little over time. At 86x40 (compared to a standard cot's 76x30) it's longer than a twin mattress and just as wide. If you're big/tall, you'll really appreciate the size. Me? Well my young son and our dog likes to curl up with me, so the extra width is appreciated. 'Course the cot is so tall, maybe the dog will just sleep under it. I'm just glad we have a huge tent.
