I immediately purchased a new one. I use it to aid my walking as I have a neurological disease that causes me to lose my balance. It is super lightweight, easily collapsible, and very strong. It has held me up when I have tripped (I weigh 250 pounds) and the the shock absorbing-action is great. I highly recommend it.

I DID HAVE TO REMOVE THE STRAP (NO SWEAT) AND BUY A RUBBER TIP (ON SALE FROM SIERRA) FOR IT SINCE I WALK MY NEIGHBORHOOD AND SPEND MOST OF MY TIME ON SIDEWALKS AND STREETS. BEING A CANCER PATIENT ON CHEMO, I GO THROUGH PERIODS WHEN I'M REALLY FATIGUED. THIS CANE IS SO LIGHT AND STRONG, I DON'T EVEN NEED TO CHANGE HANDS.
