I'm female and got a small- I wear an 8-8.5 shoe...but these felt larger than the 1st pair I got that was also a small. The footbed was longer. They still fit close to perfect- but maybe after a wash or two they'll shrink a touch.
For me the key thing that I love is that they stay up all day and they aren't too tight on the calf. Very comfortable on the calf. Quality fabric. Will last long.
