I'm either in hiking or cowboy boots and tend to stay on the chilly side the majority of the year. The socks keep me warm and wick the moisture no matter which boot I'm wearing. I haven't had them long enough to know how durable they are but I give them a thumbs up and would buy them again (already have).

I was a little surprised - they are thinner than I expected from the backpacker name. I usually wear thorlo trekker and these are more like the thorlo hiker. They still fit well to the foot after a hot day of work.

Just needed some really warm socks for around
the house, which they suit very well.
Probably wouldn't wear them hiking
because they ride higher on my leg
than I prefer for my hiking socks.
I own other ones for that.
