The stretch panels on the back make for a better fit than otherwise. The shirt is cut straight on the bottom and without any elastic panels there can be a tight fit if you have a few extra pounds. The fabric is made up of small waffle like squares on the inside which hold the heat and a smooth feel on the outside.
