By Kenny lookin for Kicks from United States on 08/09/2008 Cons: Doesn't slip on easy Best Uses: All Weather Conditions Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoe looks very nice and functions great once it is one my toddler's feet. I have to pull on the back strap and have him stand up in order for his foot to get in. It's almost impossible any other way.
Good Shoe but Hard to Get On By jerandali from WA on 08/01/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot, Stylish Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought two pair of these for my son but realized too late that these are not the toddler version (which has lighter suede upper and closes with a velcro strap across the top). He currently is wearing a size 6 and they are wonderfully light, flexible, and easy on/off. These shoes in size 8 or 9 are a little stiffer and heavier. There is just the drawcord/toggle as opposed to laces or velcro - it is a litte more difficult to put on. These shoes are very wide and roomy, but it may take some time to maneuver with his chubby little feet. My 5 year old has a pair of these in size 13 and they are great shoes, but I still wish they made the kid and youth sizes more like the toddler sizes - the suede is softer and lighter (but not as waterproof, of course) and the velcro makes it SO easy to get on/off. I'm hoping by the time my now 19 month old wears his size 8 that he will learn to point his toes a little better in getting them on (he now tries to curl his toes under every time we put shoes on him and it makes a difficult entry into these type of shoes!)
Great shoes - these don't wear out! By Bisti from NW New Mexico on 07/28/2008 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are comfortable for my son's fat feet. An earlier pair of Keen shoes also fit my daughter's normal width foot. They are extremely durable: after 6+ months of hard wear by my daughter her shoes are done for, but the Keens still look new! Plus, little kids can get them on by themselves.
