He gets frustrated and overwhelmed easily. He is non-verbal so when he cannot do for himself he screams and has melt-downs. These shoes are great. He can put them on & take them off himself. Better then zelcro & much more stylish! He loves his shoes. We bought two pairs, and they were worth every cent & then some!

By active mum from Melbourne, Australia on 07/26/2008 Pros: Durable, Great Traction Cons: Not flexible, Small fit Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain I bought a size 10 for my son (who currently wears a size 9 with a little extra room) but I had to force his feet into them, these shoes look & feel at least 2 shoe sizes too small, they look wide in the toe but they are very flat in height - this combined with a really rigid shoe upper made it nearly impossible to get his feet in them & when I finally did his toes were jammed right up & they hurt. I do not recommend these shoes for children with thick chubby feet, maybe they'd be OK for thin/flat feet but make sure you buy 2 sizes bigger (or at least 1).
Otherwise they look like a very sturdy, well made & very cute kids shoe, hopefully my other son will be able to wear them when the time comes.
