| Europe's Steinbock apparel is laden with Tyrolean atmosphere. Designed in Innsbruck, Austria, and found in only the finest stores in Europe, Steinbock has improved traditional Tyrolean fabrics like boiled wool and loden cloth by utilizing extra-fine wools, cashmere and angora. Run your hand up, and then down, their loden cloth and note the soft, downward flow of the fibers which naturally shed rain and wind. The fit is a little loose, which is great for layering with a sweater. It’s flexible and comfortable, and the cut is classic for business but the European styling makes it great for upscale casual wear. The fabric and assembly is impeccable.
I wore it this week in a 10° wind chill and it kept me nicely warm over a just a light shirt.
I’d seen Steinbock clothing in upscale clothing stores when we traveled in Austria but couldn’t get past the prices, so when I saw this coat discounted in Sierra I had to get it.

The chest was a little big on this coat, but nothing a little tailoring could not take care of. The material is quite comfortable and not too heavy, making the jacket nice for several climates.
