The sleeves are long so they can be pulled down over your hands but also can be pulled up without being uncomfortably restrictive. Windproof up to a point. This is a great single-layer piece for hiking or other aerobic activity in colder weather

I'm 5'4", 120lbs. I usually order small, and these run true to size, so they are large on me, but they will not fall down. I cannot wait to wear them in January when it is really cold. I might try layering them over biking pants on a really cold day for biking too.

I don't know the name of the other one, but this one is not quite as fleecey-soft on the inside as my other, but it's still comfortable. I've been comfortable in this shirt down to 32F without putting another shirt on underneath it (as a baseline for my tolerance for cold, I start wearing tights a few degrees below 40F). The sleeves are sufficiently stretchy that you can pull it over your hands without putting tension on the rest of the shirt that would pull against your neck (which is a problem with many other ls shirts).
