Saucony evolved from the 1910 shoe store of Russian immigrant cobbler, Abraham Hyde in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Hyde’s first sport footwear products were ice skates, and during World War II the company produced boots for the Army. They produced footwear for NASA astronauts in the ‘60’s, and in 1968 they acquired the Saucony Shoe Company, a small running shoe company known but to a small group of serious runners. I am a Brooks fan but like the cushioning of the Saucony. For the price, they're definitely worth it. One downer is the lacing system---top hole is too far back for comfort but easily fixed by unlacing that hole. Overall, well-worth it and a solid shoe.

These shoes hold up and are definitely worth the price.
