Upon opening the box I was immediately disappointed with the product. The latch already had rust on the clasp, and the closure flap was so tight that with anything placed in the case, it would have been difficult to close and latch.

It looks much nicer in real life than even in the catalogue. The leather is well oiled, and seems to be heavy duty - not like some of the flimsier models I have seen. The flap pocket is a tight squeeze for the newspapers I stuff in there, and there could be an extra pocket inside (or two). All in all, I am very pleased, and it got my wife's seal of approval!
