By John 3:16 from Modesto CA on 11/08/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Motion control, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Break in period needed, Not Comfortable, OUCH Best Uses: Day Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was really excited in finding a motion control (pronation) boot at ST. Having flat feet I've grown to appreciate footwear that is built to overcome my shortcomings. From all the reviews these, ecco, and chaco are known to provide such support. Well the boots looked great, and the price well thats outrageous ST does it again. I put the boots on and within a few minutes both of my feet were sound asleep. As in the soles and top of my foot was tingling. Never before had had I had such a sensation. Thinking this was what they called the break in period, I worn them the rest of the evening while watching TV. My left foot took until the next day to stop buzzing. I though they may have been 1 size to big. I ordered the 10.5, & found them a bit longer. Based upon reviews here they said there was a larger toe bed, I don't have wide feet, but it felt like my toes were kind of pinched together and that is unusual. Oh well back to the drawing board.[...]

By Papoose from Bend, OR on 08/11/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: For the price I think this boot is a great deal. I have been on several 4-5 mile hikes with no problem. Good ankle support. The toe box seems overly roomy and that is why I think they run a bit big. Very straight forward boot, probably would not purchase a second pair.
