By Bargain Grrrl from East Coast on 11/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Easy On/Off, Great Traction, Lightweight, Multi-Use, Secure Fit Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been wearing Merrell Chameleon IIs which I loved, but decided I also wanted a pair of more supportive, serious hiking boots. These are wonderful. They were comfortable immediately, very supportive, well made, good traction.
I do daily short hikes on moderate local trails and have found these to be great for that purpose. Highly recommended. Terrific bargain!

By milestogo from Tucson, AZ on 01/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Non-slip sole, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually hike in low boots and cover many miles quite fast. I needed something a little more substantial for occasional wet weather, and these are working out really well. They are extremely comfortable and do not constrict around and above the ankle, my major complaint about mid height and higher boots.

Great for hiking and everyday use. By Tom from Memphis, Tn on 12/10/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought for my wife prior to our trip to Yellowstone in September. My wife normally wears a narrow shoe. I talked her into these due to my own Vasque boots and with good wool hiking socks she was extremely pleased with their comfort and fit. She indicated they were comfortable for regular wear other than hiking and she wore them through our two week trip.

very good for backpacking By Road Runner from Pittsburgh, PA on 10/01/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Cons: The upper part is tight Best Uses: Backcountry, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I recently wore this boots for a 100 miles backpacking along Appalachian Trail. It saved me from blisters (I got 0 while my friend got several big ones). The upper part is a little bit tight. One of my ankle bones was hurting for the last few days. I will try not to tie the shoelace too tight next time. Also, we had to walk in the rain for an entire day. At the end of the day, my socks were still dry.
