Glove-like fit. Low on support
By sierranomadVerified Reviewer from Mokelumne Hill, CA on 11/23/2008
Pros:
Comfortable/No Break-In
Cons:
Poor arch support
Best Uses:
Casual, Everyday
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Walker/Hiker, Trail Jogger
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I labored over whether to return these shoes. They are very comfortable, but don't have the arch support that I crave. They also don't offer much protection: if a dime fell on your shoe, you'd feel it. But, again, they are extremely comfortable and have a great fit. I found that adding my own insoles improves the arch-support enough to make them OK in that field. So I decided to keep them.

I live and work overseas and need a casual shoe for work and recreation. Having ordered from Sierra Trading post before, I confidently ordered these knowing I wouldn't be able to use them for several weeks before I returned to the States to obtain them. They have met my expectations for comfort and quality.

This has to be one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! Seems a little "cluncky" at first but after few days I don't want to take them off....like wearing moccasins all day! I haven't tried them on a trail yet.

I use these for every day wear. They are very good looking with shorts and footie type sock. Don't think they would be good for back country or snow, but probably would work great around camp. I am very pleased with these.

Comments:
A well made shoe. The one con for me: the soles are quite stiff and hard. They will take a while to break in. The most comfortable soles I can think of are made by Merrell, and these just don't have that supple feeling.
