I planned to wear them for mountain hiking and foot comfort was essential. I returned them.

The shoe was too wide and about 1/2 size too long. I was able to wear them with very thick socks. That will limit when I wear them. During the winter they will be perfect. I would order a size or at least a half size smaller than normal.

They are so comfortable and supportive without the clumpy look of hiking shoes or the wide forefoot of running sneakers. I wear mid-weight wool blend socks with them and can wear them all day without feeling the need to take them off until bedtime. Half size down worked perfectly for me.

Needs more arch support, but added an arch support with no problem. Love the Vibram sole - will last a long time. Have gotten many compliments on them too. Wish they had more colors - would have bought more than two pairs!

THe sole is molded to "cup" your feet and it holds them firmly. I walk more than 8 miles a day, and these shoes really help.
