They were difficult to put on the first time due to the lack of a zipper, but I soon got the hang of it. They look great with skirts and jeans, and are very comfortable, even with a 2" heel. Beautiful leather and quality workmanship, as expected from Frye.
Great boot that runs small By Working mom from Coastal Northwest on 10/04/2008 Pros: Beautiful color, Beautiful leather, Classic Style, Comfortable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Classic with slight edge, Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought the cognac color, which is a lustrous, warm brown, not too shiny. This is a pull-on boot; it won't hug the skin of your calves, but still fits close enough to look trim and sleek, not bulky. With a classic heel and toe style, this pair of boots will outlast changing trends. I took the advice of the previous reviewers and went up a full size. They fit great with mid-weight socks (I might've been able to go with a half-size smaller than these if I wore hose or thin socks, but I'm keeping these). Also, they're really tall boots--they come up to the back of my knee when I'm seated. I've already gotten compliments!
Beautiful... but a pull on boot By Claudia from New York, NY on 08/20/2008 Pros: Cute, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is an absolutelly beautiful boot. I have always wanted a pair of Frye boots and was hoping that these would be the ones. I got them in Cognac, in my regular size. When I tried them on I could not even get my right foot into them, so I am sorry to say that they will be going back. I wish I was able to keep them though...
By Alesa from New York on 08/17/2008 Pros: Cute, Durable, Easy To Clean, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these in Cognac, the color is beautiful and rich and not too shiny, which I was worried about from the photo. They are pull ons and I had a very tough time getting my feet in them to start; I think they just need a bit of stretching out though. The heel is walkable and the boot fits well in the calf, and mine are a bit bulky. Overall a great boot for jeans or is dressy enough for skirts.
