By garden gma from Idaho on 07/19/2009 Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this to wear when working in my garden to repel the nasty, biting, deer flies we have. It works! But I did notice a mosquito buzzing around my head when I had it on so it doesn't get rid of them where you are not covered by the vest. It gets pretty hot to wear if working outside in warm temps.
By up the river from ohio on 07/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Buy this vest for what it was made for--keeping bugs away! This is my 2nd Buzz off vest, and I love them both. I wear them whenever I am in my kayak. Keeps all bugs away, and has enough pockets for chap stick, lipstick and a snack or two. One pocket is secure with velcro for my sunglasses. I wear this out in my garden when the mosquitos start to bite, and they immediately disperse.
By Travel junkie from Hampton, NH on 06/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Gardening, Rain forest travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The whole point in buying this product is its insect repellency. It will fit over other layers and avoid having to use so much insect spray when you venture into your garden or your travel destination where there are mosquitoes, ticks, black files, whatever. I will use it in conjunction with other BuzzOff items.

By Badger from TN on 04/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This vest is perfect for its intent. If you want more pockets, you should get a vest with more pockets. It's very lightweight, repels the bugs, has enough pockets to stick a cell phone, keys, camera cards/batteries, enough other odds and ends to do the job, and it's perfect for just going for a hike or working in the garden, when you want the least amount of weight and material on you and want to avoid spraying yourself down with chemicals as much as possible.
By Nature Girl from Tucson, AZ on 04/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Keeps the bugs away, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Birding, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Simple and stylish and very very functional. I'm so happy this vest doesn't have tons of pockets, clips, doodads. It's purpose is to keep the bugs off and that it does very nicely. It's durable, lightweight and I can wear it with camera, backpack and binoculars and not feel like a kid in a snowsuit. All of these Ex Officio Insect Shield products are so great. I am happy not to be wearing DEET in the environment and even happier not to have toxic chemicals on my skin.
