GREAT WINTER COAT AND MORE ! By Arod500 from Sanford, Florida on 03/26/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Woolrich Label is the # 1 in outdoor coats and just found another one. The cool features like inside side pockets for your cellphone/ipod and breast pockets, it's water repellent, the cream colored knitted collar is attached to the zipper that keeps you very warm when you close it up,also check out the great hidden black lycra hood for super cold days that keeps your head warm and protects you from the wind. I gave this coat a try-out and passed with flying colors and its so light weight and you do not have to wear too might w/this coat. The 2-way zippers are so cool and are very strong and I got a good deal for the money. The neck is comfy and warm and the sleeves are true to size. Overall the coat is light weight for a winter coat and it passed the test. I do recommend this coat its so cool. P.S. Do something about the buttons, they get loose, they need a stronger type of thread, but its still a [*] of a coat for the money. I stitched the buttons with some stronger thread for the day to day use of this super coat.
By gene from nh on 03/25/2008 Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great Coat. It looks like canvas, not like a regular parka material, which gives it a rural look, definitely not urban. Think Carhartt material (looks like duck cloth), and you won't be disapointed.
Very attractive, though the neck is HUGE By Rae from NYC on 12/23/2007 Pros: Durable, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Conservative Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Cons: It seems that (even though a 2X ordered) the neck is TREMENDOUS. Fully closed you can put your HEAD through the neck with ease. It'll need a scarf wrapped 3 times aroung to close that gap. Also, not too crazy about the buttons - both the button closure and the zipper behind seemed to me to be stiff, making for frustration in open/closure.
Pros: Absolutely love the color. The fabric seems to be a microfiber texture (very soft to the touch). The jacket itself feels to be mid-weight and in "poofiness" brings to mind thoughts of a nice down comforter; probably good enough for N/E winter weather (esp. with a little layering - PLENTY of room for it!).
I would recommend to a friend ONLY after full disclosure.
