Gotta Have it - don't think twice!! By Mike the modest outdoorsman from Cheyenne, WY on 09/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Looks AND Functions great, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping, Windy weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am from south Texas now stationed in Wyoming. I had never seen snow or needed a heavy coat until this year. I spent the first few weeks shivering and wondering what all this white stuff is on the ground. I MEAN THIS when i say it: This coat surpassed anything i could have expected! If it can keep me warm here it can keep you warm too.
Excellent cold weather ski jacket By Tommy Boy from Golden,CO on 08/23/2008 Pros: Breathable, Warm, Well Made Best Uses: Cold Weather, Resort skiing Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great jacket for cold weather resort skiing. One minor gripe, the collar could be more stiff. I'm 6ft, 185lbs, and the medium fits me quite well.
This jacket has excellent features By MN Climber from Minnesota on 03/18/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Excellent close fit, Lightweight, Warm, Well Made Best Uses: Cold Weather, Skiing Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great cold weather ski jacket. The sleeves on Cloudveil garments are unusually long, but a medium is just right for me, a size 41 long.

By Bob from WI on 12/20/2007 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is great. It is light, warm, fits great, and not too puffy. The only thing I'm worried about is the color may get dirty easy.
Super warm and looks great By troutmustard from St. Paul, MN on 12/11/2007 Pros: Durable, Good Value, High Quality Best Uses: Winter dog park walks Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The thing's awesome.
By Elliot from Cary, NC on 12/10/2007 Best Uses: Stationary activities Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great jacket and has a lot of thoughtful features missing from more mainstream down jackets like the TNF Nuptse, which my wife has. The Nuptse is a bare-bones jacket, but the Cloudveil has the following: fleeced collar/chin liner, snow skirt, handwarmer pockets, internal pocket, adjustable cuffs, and a helmet-friendly down-filled hood. This is aside from the fact that it's windproof (Gore Windstopper). I wouldn't pay retail, but the discounted price here made it well worth it. If they made one for women my wife would replace her Nuptse jacket today.
