It was very wide in the shoulders but to narrow in the hips.

I suspect that if your bottom is bigger then your chest then this jacket might not fit so well. This is exactly why I buy Barbour products, most american clothes are designed for people with larger bottoms and they simply do not fit people who are build the way I am.

I love mine and I wear it almost daily when it's cool but not bitterly cold (between 30-50F).

It is very roomy across the back, but too tight elsewhere. It should be too tight as I purchased a US 6 when I thought I was buying a 10. I would swim in a ten. I like everything about this jacket and wish I could keep it.

The shoulders were about an inch down on my arm and there was extra material under the armpits.
