By Telegirl from Klamath Falls, OR on 11/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I also found that my heels slipped up and down in these shoes. I took the original insole out and replace it with a smaller one, and my heels sucked right into where they should. They are now the lightweight, comfy shoes I was hoping for.
My favorite walk-about shoes By K2 from San Francisco CA on 11/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been wearing a pair of these almost daily since Mar 2009. I bought these because I wanted a lightweight walk-about shoe that had a solid upper so that sand/dirt wouldn't get inside my shoes while hiking soft trails. They're great for that. As for waterproofness, they're about 99% successful. They aren't as breatheable as advertised, but pretty good. The rigid soles are more designed for hiking rather than trail running, which I find a plus. The heel slips a little at first, but I found that after a bit I either got used to it or it settled in. These are good if you have wide feet.
I purchased 4 more at this great sale price, so I should be set for a couple of years!
I really like the shoes. Lightweight . The square toe offers comfort and style. The quality is the best. I have worn them for tree climbing, hiking and in dry and wet conditions. They are light but sturdy. They clean up great!

By doc from Tucson/Willow on 10/31/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've only been wearing these shoes for a few days but really like the fit (other than small for size), including the foot bed (don't need usual inserts), lightness, waterproofing (helps with dirt as well as water) and toes that don't pinch.
By Terradoo from Glenwood Springs, CO on 10/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The first day I wore them, I hiked 10 miles, through mud, wtreams, and finally snow. They didn't need breaking in, just confortable from the start. Keen seems to have the wide fit sandals, and the more narrow fit shoes. These are in the narrow category, so I ordered a half size larger. I love them
