This is very important for rugged vertical terrain. Most hunting boots don't have this feature. Also, the padding around the ankle and cuff is good, providing support without rubbing.

Well I have found the last pair of hunting boots I will ever have to buy. These are tough and suprisingly light for being full leather. These are the best.
