I normally wear an XL because most Columbia jackets run a bit on the larger side. I ordered an XL it was way to tight under the arms before layering. I sent it back for a 2XL and it was a little better but still to tight under the arms. I like to be able to zip in my liner you can't with this jacket. It's a personnel thing.Still overall a very nice coat but not for me.

The jacket was very tight under the arms. Order one size up.
