By Pinus strobus from Minneapolis, MN on 11/08/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Soft Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these socks for my 10-year old son for everyday wear. They have been great as the weather is turning cooler in Minnesota. They snug his foot just right and are not too thin or too thick--he loves them. I wash them inside out and hang to dry, although Smartwool says they can be dryer-dried. They do seem to "pill" more than other Smartwools we have, but in general great socks. Good-looking, too.
By socalcyclist from San Diego, Ca on 11/07/2008 Describe Yourself: Athletic, Bargain Shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These socks are very comfortable. I've been wearing SmartWool cycling socks for years and I keep buying them. They're comfortable, wick moisture, and wear well. I didn't care for the color, but the price was great so I bought them anyways. I wear them for light hiking too.
By exercisejunkie from Branchville, NJ on 11/07/2008 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Soft Best Uses: Athletics, Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Athletic, Bargain Shopper, Casual, High End Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love smartwool socks because of the fit and quality. Actually I tend to buy them a size smaller than recommended for shoe size because I don't want any bunching up and as they are very stretchy it is never a problem. These are great because my usual attire is casual, athletic. The extra height of these socks keeps your shins from getting a blast of cold air. The only drawback is that there is some padding, not much but it might make close fitting shoes feel snug.
By wendyv34 from Seattle, WA on 09/27/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Dry Easily, Durable, Warm, Wicking Best Uses: Commuting, Daily Use, Mountain Biking, Road Cycling, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These socks are so comfy, I even wear them to bed! They are perfect for commuting in cooler weather, when conditions can change from AM to PM. They are thin enough to fit under cycling shoes but provide amazing warmth as temps cool and the rain starts. For all-out horrible weather, I usually switch to a smartwool ski or snowboard sock for cycling.
By Sweatin'it out in Arkansas from Greenwood, AR on 07/27/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Wicking Best Uses: Casual Riding, Daily Use, Mountain Biking, Road Cycling, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We live in Arkansas where the summers are hot and humid and even a casual ride will leave you soaked in sweat. These Smartwool socks work just like advertised and keep your feet cool and comfortable even in the heat of the day. When I get going, I sweat in buckets, but these socks perform and keep my feet feeling good, even on the long rides. Highly recommended and I may have to buy a few more if they have any left.

Socks that hug your feet! By iliketobike44 from Royal Oak, MI on 06/25/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Dry Easily, Wicking Best Uses: Casual Riding, Road Cycling Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As described these socks fit true to size and have performed well so far. I bought all the colors, I had intended to keep these for fall (cooler weather riding) but wore them recently on 80+ degree day rides and found my feet to be very comfortable. The socks stretchy arch support hugs your foot nicely. The socks are a little higher then ankle height so for summer rides to minimize the "farmers tan" I folded them down and they stayed in place nicely.
