Good product but sizing is too small By Happy Happy from San Francisco Bay Area, CA on 10/12/2009 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Despite many reviews stating to order one size UP, I went ahead and ordered a size 32(my normal size) which turned out too small indeed. STP didn't have size 33 or 34 when I ordered mine. I'm returning it. Having said that, I like the high-quality, lightweight material and would order again(but definitely one size up) when STP has them in their inventory. I would recommend this ONLY if one can get the 'right' size.
By Beowulf from NY, NY on 07/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Well designed Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Had a pair of these shorts from a year ago, and just bought two more. They are longish in length, but are designed so well that this becomes a strength not a weakness. Close fitting with out being tight. Great pockets.
great shorts, but run VERY small. By Alex from Florida on 07/20/2009 Pros: High-Quality Material and Stitching Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shorts, but if you have a 30" waist, buy a 32. They run small!
THEY ARE SMALL, I PROMISE By krabgroin from south cental, pennsyltuckey on 07/14/2009 Pros: Came with a return label Best Uses: Fat-loss incentive Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: BUMMER. i am about a 29 3/4 waist and these 30's are super tight. believe the negative reviews on size and buy an inch larger. mountain hardware makes some killer clothing. no one is perfect but where was the quality control when they ran these shorts??
By Eric from Austin, TX on 07/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Backpacking, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Now that I have 8 pairs of these shorts, I feel comfortable recommending them - because 8 is finally enough. They are perfect, and they have a pocket on the leg that is just right for an iphone or ipod touch. They wash great and look nice enough for any event where shorts are acceptable.
By Loyal STP Customer from South Korea on 07/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Backpacking, Casual Wear, Running/Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the slightly snug fit in the crotch. They are very comfortable. The shallower pockets help you from loading them with too many items, which would in turn cause chaffing while walking. The waist is a little tighter than labeled, but not too much. The only complaint I have is the length of the zipper, which should be about 2 inches longer, to make it easier to get the shorts on and off.
By boaterbrad from roswell, ga on 07/07/2009 Cons: Inside flap too tight, Irregular Fit Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: i guess the irregular fit is why these are on the closeout list.

By RyanB from NH on 06/22/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I am pretty tall at 6 feet, but these things are long, well past my knee. My wife says its all the rage and thats what the kids are wearing these days. I say capris are for women. Real nice material and construction though. maybe its weird, but I appreciate the pockets, light weight mesh material is nice
