Comments:
Love these shoes. I bought them for full price at the mall and thought they were well worth it. I wore them day in and day out. I walk ALOT at work. At 1st they made my legs tired, but my leg muscles soon got in better shape. Immediately upon putting them on and leaving the store, walking across the mall, I felt it was so much easier to walk, my posture was better and my husband remarked that I was walking much faster. To me it felt fun! I have many lower body orthopedic issues (foot, knee, hip, SI) so at times walking is quite painful and I never try to push myself or I will pay the price. These shoes have almost completely put an end to that. The one time I find them not so good is when I have to stand still for extended periods. I float to may different work sites and one place has me standing in one place for nearly 2hrs. Only option to change postion is to shift weight from 1 leg to the other. This causes the middle area of the shoe that isn't soft like the "sensor" area to create pressure. That hurts! Fortunately I don't have to do that job too often. Over all, love them. I even jogged a short distance the other night without pain and I haven't even considered jogging for over 10 yrs. I have found as another viewer noted that the soles wear pretty fast. True, I wore them continuously for 10mo, but it was about to wear into the "sensor". I took them back to the store where I purchased them and they gave me another pair. I was hoping that it was just that pair, but I see these are wearing even faster. I have been doing more pavement walking since the redesign at work. I will have to say that it is probably my orthopedic issues that causes alot of this wearing. But with that said, I will order more because even if I have to pay for a resole, it is worth the price, esp. When bought from this site at these prices. Do go some where and try them on as they vary quite a bit from one style to the next. Overall they run about a 1/2 size smaller and about what you would expect in medium width. Now I am off to order another pair form this site before my size is gone!

Feels great & works extra muscles
By Racewalker from Oregon on 09/16/2008
Pros:

Cons:
Causes Blisters
Best Uses:
Endurance Training, Pavement
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Sizing:
Feels half size too big
Width:
Feels too wide
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I wear these shoes daily, walking 4-6 miles for exercise, and general walking throughout the day. Shoes are extremely comfortable and force me to work extra muscles (slightly), but there is one spot on my right ankle bone that rubs. I have to wear thicker socks (perhaps its just this one pair, because I've never had a problem with this spot in the past). I am going to buy another pair, because I am so happy with them in all other ways. I may try another style of MBT. Definitely worth the money!!

Comments:
I bought these shoes on recommendation from a relative who is a nurse like I am. They are FABULOUS for all day standing and walking, plus I enjoy wearing them in my free time to walk or work out -- so I am now buying my 2nd pair. One benefit is I usually had to buy arch supports for my high arch for other shoes; no more with these! They help correct my posture and I don't need them at ALL in these shoes. One tip: if you vascillate between two shoe sizes, go with the larger one. Otherwise, they fit true to size and width. Two drawbacks: the shoes are crazy expensive ($250 at most places, so get them on sale when possible), and since I wear them a lot the tread is worn out and I don't know if getting a $5 re-sole repair will somehow damage the underlying shoe system. No one at MBT customer service ever replied to my query! Overall: GREAT shoes when you can get them for $150 or less, and great styles, too!

These shoes make me walk!!
By Techy TrekkerVerified Reviewer from Around Philly on 09/04/2008

Comfortable, Durable, Good Padding
Best Uses:
Pavement, Shopping
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Sizing:
Feels true to size
Width:
Feels true to width
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I read to order MBT 1/2 size up, so I am about a 9.5, but lean toward a 10, so I got the 10, and they are perfect. When I tell you, these shoes make me want to walk, I mean it!! There is supposed to be an adjustment to walking in them, but I found they make walking easy, it is the standing still that is more difficult! If/when these wear out, I will get another pair.

Comments:
I've been wearing these shoes now every day (outside the gym) for about a month. When I wear them, all my usual foot pain from a previous surgery just disappears. Although the manufacturer doesn't recommend wearing orthodics in them, I do and it works out fine (need to add a half size). I haven't tried them out yet on in the gym, but plan to soon. I am a little concerned about what I've read regarding durability issues, but it's too soon to tell. I definitely would recommend that if you are considering buying MBTs that you go to a brick and mortar store to try them on first as the styles differ greatly in their fit.
