By Sandyogator from Delray Beach, FL on 08/16/2008 Cons: Band is difficult to use, Band too big for my wrist Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The band either popped open, or I couldn't get it off. I think they tried to make it too innovative and lost some functionality. Also, too big for my wrist.
By lovethewoods from Pullman, WA on 08/12/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Reliable Describe Yourself: Athletic, Modern, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a fine watch for running and other sport use. However, the band is very thick and uncomfortable on the underside for everyday, casual use. I prefer an all-purpose sport watch.
By Austin Cyclist from Austin, TX on 07/31/2008 Pros: Fashionable, Good Quality, Reliable Cons: Band adjustability limit Best Uses: Accessory, Everyday Describe Yourself: Athletic, Classic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A fantastic and unique looking Ironman watch from Timex. If you have a very small wrist, the band may not adjust to a small enough size; otherwise, easy to read large number display, great looks, and very comfortable.
By fishkid from boston, ma on 07/24/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: wear it everyday at a fish hatchery, wet and rugged. the closure on the band is a bit funny, a cross between a hair barrette and one of those high class gold watches that have the Z that tucks under itself. doesn't bother me, but if you're finicky about the tail of your watch sticking out, maybe not for you.
Great watch, needs a little tweaking By Training for Shopping... always from San Jose, CA on 07/22/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Good Quality, Neutral Color, Reliable Best Uses: Accessory, Everyday, Sports, Water sports Describe Yourself: Athletic, Modern, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a new runner and love the Timex Ironman series of watches, but was having a hard time finding one that is "feminine" enough and "dressy" enough to wear daily. Not that black or pink plastic is bad, just not dressy enough to wear daily. This watch in Bone is wonderful! Titanium face with off white and beige accents. The side buttons are a little more difficult to use, but I like the fact that the buttons themselves are not labeled - my old watches, the labels wore off almost immediately from repeated use. I shower with this watch on and sleep with it sometimes (old habit from before I got my eyes "fixed" with Lasix).
The face nearly covers my small, 6.5" wrist - but I like the look.
My only complaint is that the easily adjustable band slips. The 2" of excess band slides out from underneath - a little annoying.
All in all, an excellent buy. I would recommend this to my friends (actually, I was thinking of buying them for Christmas gifts)
By Colleen from Ft Riley Kansas on 07/19/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Fashionable, Good Quality, Reliable Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use it for everyday. I use the timer a lot to keep track of my washer and dryer times.
By Sydney the crazy shopper from Fargo, ND on 07/15/2008 Pros: Fashionable, Good Quality, Reliable Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Great watch with all of the alarms and lap counter but the band does not stay tight and the clasp is hard to use. While running I need to adjust it and when swimming I feel as if it may fall off.
By Austin Cyclist from Austin, TX on 06/29/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Fashionable, Good Quality, Reliable Describe Yourself: Athletic, Practical Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice looking watch that moves from day to evening without a problem. Once band is adjusted properly, watch is very comfortable. Extra large numbers are a plus. Timex reliability makes this a great deal!
Cute watch but not for me By LGM from Atlanta, GA on 06/12/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Fashionable, Good Quality, Reliable Describe Yourself: Athletic Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The beige color is very neutral and pretty. The watch has great functions and I've loved any prior Timex watch for myself. I ended up returning the watch due to the watch band just not being comfortable enough for me for running. I have a very small wrist. It did adjust down for my wrist but the face of the watch sat very high on my wrist due to the metal on the sides and the band folds in the back like most men's metal bands creating bulk in the back. THe plastic was very moldable but the watch didn't look right on my wrist so I ended up returning. I rarely return items and really thought the watch looked great in the box-just not on me. Might be fine for someone with a bigger wrist.
By Runner mom of 2 from Richmond, VA on 06/04/2008 Pros: Adjustable Watchband, Fashionable, Good Quality, Reliable, Waterproof Best Uses: Accessory, Everyday, To the pool beach or gym Describe Yourself: Athletic, Classic, Practical, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The watch is sporty, yet feminine and fits more like a bracelet than a fitted band watch. This is great for summer as it doesn't cause me to sweat under the band. I also wear it to the pool with the kids, even in the water. It is a great sporty watch that is practical yet stylish. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because the watch is mounted above the band which makes it a bit bulky, but the overall appearance is sleek.
