By BI Emily from Bainbridge Island, WA on 11/11/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great shoe for light hiking and trails. It was quick to break in, and gives good support even with just the insoles that came with the shoes. I've had great luck with Montrails before, and these continue that trend. They feel a little weird on at first, like you are walking on platforms, but when you are on the trails, they are FANTASTIC!
