By Stechel from The Bay, CA on 11/16/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Everest Expedition, Iditarod, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: When I opened the box, I had a little chuckle. I spend maybe a week in the snow per year now that I'm in NorCal, but I wanted something heavy duty enough to last for years, and I know Sorel's reputation. That said, when I got these out of the box, I knew instantly that they were going to be overkill for even winter living. They are boot-squared (really big). These are serious boots. I'm thinking Alaskan backwoods boots. So, if that's what you're after, these are perfect! I'd love to keep em, but, I have to exchange them for something a little more tame... still Sorel's, just not the size of my head.

By DanaG from SLC, UT on 11/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Comments: Haven't worn them yet, but I purchased these to use for winter training (tracking) in snow with my dog. They seem like they'll be perfect. The soles are pretty tall - lifting you up off the ground, so I think that will help to keep your feet warm!
VERY Warm with good support and traction By Don from Nashua, NH on 11/09/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For moderate activity in heavy snow and very low temperatures. Well made. Good support. Excellent for maneuvering a 36" snow thrower on a steep driveway in 2' of snow.
By Zorbtron from NH on 11/09/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Comments: I ordered these boots and they are far bulkier than you would assume by looking at the pic. They were like space boots. I returned them for this reason and didn't get a chance to test them against the elements but by my judgment I would say these boots could easily withstand the most brutal winter conditions.
