By rich from trenton, nj on 10/06/2008 Pros: Good Protection from the Sun, Stylish Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: i can't imagine that my face is different than all these other reviewers but i found the magnifyer portion to be totally in the way and just a distraction rather than an aid. what's the point of polarization if you can't see anything due to the maginfyer blurring the vision. there is no question that i'd get a cheap pair of reading glasses and pull them out when needed vs these. go for regular polarized since you're not tying on a new fly every minute anyways.
By Teacher Terry from Northern California on 09/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Protection from the Sun, Stylish Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: While I have nothing against fishermen or women, I bought these as driving glasses. And I LOVE them! They are the best sunglasses I have ever owned! Yes, the magnified part of the lens is very low, but that way it stays beneath my field of vision until I need it, and then I can tilt my head for the few seconds it takes. I won't be doing any extensive reading with them, but, now I don't have to fumble for a pair of readers to see my cell phone or read a map when I am in my car. Another great aspect to these sunglasses is the way they wrap around just enough to heighten my peripheral vision. I sure hope I don't lose these!
By Les from Maryland on 08/23/2008 Comments: The reader lenses (near vision or bifocal lenses) lie quite low within the frames on these glasses (at least the way they fit on my face). This means I must look very low or tilt my head way back to get the reader lenses in my visual axis, which causes eye strain. So I can only use them for occasional near vision use. No way could I read a book with them. Otherwise okay.
By Jim from Colorado Springs, Colorado on 08/17/2008 Pros: Good Protection from the Sun Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These sunglasses are comfortable, clear, and the bifocals genuinely allow you to see to tie on the smallest flies. The stems which fit around the ear do not come in contact with the lenses when folded. Unlike others which do, scratching the lenses. Good product at an excellent price.

good price, bifocal lens too small By rdg from redding, ct on 08/02/2008 Cons: Poor Fit, Small bifocal lens, Uneven temporals Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: not useful for outdoor reading due to small bifocal size only good for seeing small things for short periods uneven temporals out of the box make the glasses look crooked on my face wrap around too wide no measurements given in sales ad to gauge this.
